Funeral services were held today for Barnett Sumner Gruzen, architect, engineer and planner and a former president of the American Technion Society. He died Friday at the age of 71. Mr. Gruzen was founder and senator partner of the firm of Gruzen & Partners, formerly Kelly & Gruzen. He was past chairman of the architects division of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York. Mr. Gruzen was born in Riga, Latyia and brought to the United States at an infant. His firm did most of the architectural work for the New York City Hall area. He received the city’s Diamond Jubilee Medallion in 1973.
