PARIS (Nov. 18)
Some 5000 demonstrators called Monday on UNESCO and on the French government to change their pro-Arab policies. The demonstrators assembled In front of the UNESCO building to protest against its recent decision to sever its links with Israel. Police forces guarded the building but there were no clashes and a small delegation was admitted within the building. The demonstration, which had been called by the Union of Jewish Youth, shouted slogans hostile to French President Valery Giscard d’Estaing, accusing him of being “Arafat’s accomplice.” The demonstrators included several Paris Municipal Council members and Jean-Pierre Bloch, head of LICA.
