Two hundred French politicians, university professors, and doctors have signed a petition in favor of Dr. Mikhail Stern, the Soviet Jewish endocrinologist who was sentenced to eight years at hard labor after requestion emigration to Israel. French intellectuals signing the petition included Jean-Paul Sartre.
