The Bay Area Council on Soviet Jewry has planted four trees in Israel in memory of Col. Yefim Davidovich who cried in Minsk on April 24 of a heart attack. The four trees planted represent his wife Maria, his daughter Sonya, his grandson Alexander and Davidovich himself: The Council’s chairwoman, Selma Light, has called upon all Jewish and non-Jewish organizations across the country to plant trees in Israel in Davidovich’s memory.
