A 10,000-tree forest was planted Tuesday in honor of veteran Israeli educator, Baruch Ben-Yehuda, former headmaster of the prestigious “Herzliya” high school in Tel Aviv. The trees form part of a larger “forest of teachers and pupils” near Maale Hahamisha, outside Jerusalem. The trees honoring Ben-Yehuda were planted with funds collected from pupils around the country.
