El Al Sets World Record

El Al achieved the trans-Atlantic flight time world record with yesterday’s New York to London flight in 5-hours and 14 minutes, it was reported today by Amos Turin, senior vice-president of El Al in New York. The previous record, he said, was 5 hours and 25 minutes. El Al flight 016, a Boeing 747, was piloted by Captain Leslie Easterman.
