Dr. Nahum Salansky, a leading Jewish activist of Vilna, arrived today in Vienna after having received his exit visa last Tuesday, it was reported by the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry. Salansky, a 45-year-old physicist who had held weekly seminars on Judaica at his home, was under interrogation for four months on charges of “anti-Soviet slander.” Earlier this month the charges against him were dropped by the Vilna prosecutor. Salansky is due to go to Israel to be reunited with his mother.
