Squadron to Head Presidents Conference

Howard M. Squadron, president of the American Jewish Congress, was elected chairman today of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations for a one-year term. Squadron, a 53-year-old New York lawyer, will take office July 1 succeeding Theodore R. Mann, who has served two one-year terms. Squadron is a member of the governing board of the World Jewish Congress, a trustee of the Society for the Advancement of Judaism and a former chairman of the New York Chapter of the United Nations Association.
