The National Conference on Soviet Jewry has just learned that the appeal of POC Aleksandr Paritsky, heard in a Kharkov court January 6, was rejected by presiding officials. Paritsky was sentenced to three years in a labor camp following the November 11, 1981 trial for allegedly “defaming the Soviet state.” His wife, Polina, was not permitted at the hearing.
