The government Wednesday reversed an earlier decision to impose an education tax and to tax retirement pensions. The turn-about came after strong public pressure against both levies.
Another controversial tax — a heavy levy on cars — is also under public attack. It was imposed originally as a “temporary” measure to balance the national budget but remains in effect to the anger of car owners.
