JERUSALEM (May. 11)
The Prime Minister’s Office has moved temporarily to Hadassah University Hospital, where Yitzhak Shamir is conducting affairs of state from his bed.
He was admitted Wednesday, suffering from fatigue, according to a hospital spokesman.
His doctors said Thursday that he was given a series of tests, which should be completed by Friday, at which time he will be discharged.
Shamir’s aides said he was feeling “very well.” He conferred with members of his staff, took and made telephone calls and monitored radio and television newscasts.
Among many well-wishers whose calls were put through were President Chaim Herzog and Vice Premier Shimon Peres.
