The trial of 13 Iranian Jews accused of spying for Israel is believed to have been postponed indefinitely, according to the executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. Malcolm Hoenlein reported that U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright had told his group messages from Iran continue to be mixed, with some parties saying the death penalty is never implemented in peace time and others saying the Jews will likely be executed.
