Colin Powell said he hopes a new Iraqi government will make “peace with some of its neighbors,” including Israel. Speaking Wednesday in Washington after a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, the U.S. secretary of state said he hopes the government being formed in Iraq will understand that it is in the country’s interest to live in peace with its neighbors.
