Natan Sharansky accused the BBC of a “gross double standard” toward Israel. The Israeli Cabinet minister fired off a missive to the British global news service this week accusing it of holding a “deep-seated bias” against Israel, the Jerusalem Post said. Sharansky was reacting to BBC coverage of Israel’s arrest of a 16-year-old would-be suicide bomber last week, as reporter Orla Guerin repeatedly accused the Israeli army of using the boy for propaganda purposes.
