The Jewish Theological Seminary is set to name Arnold Eisen as chancellor. Eisen, chairman of Stanford University’s religious studies department, will succeed Rabbi Ismar Schorsch, who will step down in June. Eisen is not a rabbi but is known as a leading figure in Jewish studies.
