Larry Greenfield, a nice, ingratiating fellow and formerly the Republican Jewish Coalition go-to guy on the West Coast, wants me to make sure everyone knows that he’s now the senior Jewish guy in Meg Whitman’s campaign to become California’s governor. oust Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.)
To that end he is effecting the creeping annexation of my Facebook page, inserting himself even into my commented hopes that my native city team (the Habs) best my adopted city team (the Caps) in Stanley Cup playoffs.
Larry has his work cut out for him, perhaps moreso than former E-Bay Empress Whitman: It’s an anti-incumbent year, to be sure, but I don’t see California’s Jews swinging away from Boxer, who reflects exactly their tendencies: strongly liberal and strongly pro-Israel.*

*Oof, did I muck it up. Whitman’s running for Gov., probably against Jerry Brown. I have no Jewish insight on this one.
