To the Editor:
The brief article about the octogenarian Meyer includes many details of the history of Dutch and German Jews and of his life and "status" as a survivor — which make his anti-Israel campaign noteworthy on JTA — but none regarding his "expertise" on matters pertaining to Israel that could, in any way, justify his claim that the Palestinians fare worse than the Jews under Nazi occupation. This claim, implicitly equating (or worse) Israel with the Nazis should be outrageous even to most of those who champion the Palestinians.
