Rob Schneider is one of those actors that you either love or absolutely cannot stand.
Being an avid Adam Sandler fan, I automatically belong to the former group, and thus I was pretty happy when I heard that Rob Schneider is getting his very own sitcom, which will have a midseason airing on CBS.
Apparently the star of quality films such as The Hot Chick, Deuce Bigalow Male (and European) Gigolo, and The Animal, is going to star in a show about a guy who leaves his loner lifestyle to marry a very close Mexican-American family, a story that is loosely based on his own life.
The show is going to include actors like Claudia Bassols, Cheech Marin (can’t go wrong) and Diana Maria Riva. Schneider will co-produce it with Lew Morton (SNL, NewsRadio) and Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (Two and a Half Men).
Schneider on CBS? It shows you how far the “conservative” network progressed. It still has romantic comedies, but they are starring Rob Schneider.
