Approximately $10,000 in a $150,000 campaign for construction of a girls’ home in Jerusalem was raised by the Women’s League for Palestine with a luncheon today at the Hotel Plaza attended by nearly 500 women. Judge Morris Rothenberg, the principal speaker, said the rise of Fascism in Rumania, undermining the existence of the Jewish community and threatening all democratic governments, pointed to the need of the Eastern European Jews for Palestine.
