Provisional estimates received here today from Nazi-occupied Poland establish that Jewish moveable property valued between $100,000,000 and $120,000,000 has been confiscated by the Nazis in Warsaw and removed to Germany. This includes merchandise, machinery, foodstuff, clothing and other valuables.
The Krakiwski Wisti, a Nazi newspaper in the Ukrainian language, which reached here today from Cracow, reports that the Gestapo has executed six Jewish policeman in occupied Poland on the charge that they were aiding ghetto residents to illegally send letters to relatives abroad. Three of the policeman were executed in Warsaw, two in Kielce and one in Radom, the paper announces.
The Neue Tag, a Prague newspaper reaching here today, reports that the Prague police commissioner issued an order forbidding Jews to appear on sixteen of the principal streets in the city between this past Wednesday and this coming Monday morning. No reason is given for this order. It is assumed that the order also applies to those Jews who reside in these streets, and who will not be able to leave their homes during the entire week-end. The execution of two more Czech Jews in reprisal for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich was also reported here today.
