The tenth anniversary of the death of Cyrus Adler, noted Jewish ex scholar and third president of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, was commemorated at a meeting at the Seminary.
Admiral Lewis L. Strauss, a member of the Atomic Energy Commission, recalled his friendship with Dr. Adler which began at the Peace Conference following World War I, and recited many facts about his early career, and his association with the Jewish Theological Seminary. The memorial meeting was attended by friends of Dr. Adler, members of the Adler family, and members of the Seminary’s faculty.
