Six thousand employes of Israel’s Ministry of Finance walked off their jobs today in internal revenue offices and customs stations in a one-day warning strike to support demands for higher salaries. The internal revenue offices were closed for the day and airport arrivals passed through Lyada Airport without a customs check.
