Listeners of the Hebrew-language radio program “Kan Israel” (Here is Israel) on WEVD radio here last night sent $7020 for a special fund established in Israel to help out with the expense of the Israeli government in its “Operation Redemption” at Entebbe Airport in Uganda. The contributions were pledged after it was announced during the program that a fund for that purpose was established in Israel. Chaim Kinan, director of the Israeli radio program, said that the fund-raising will continue tonight and tomorrow.
