A Long Island synagogue raised $80,000 to replace a Jewish volunteer ambulance destroyed during the Sept. 11 attack on New York’s World Trade Center. The Hampton Synagogue made the appeal during the High Holidays for a new Hatzolah ambulance to once again serve the Wall Street and Battery Park areas, said Rabbi Marc Schneier.
