A member of a Philadelphia temple was recently sentenced to prison for embezzling more than $1 million from his congregation. On Oct. 23, Barry Wilf received 57 months in prison for his role in embezzling the money from Temple Sinai. Wilf’s co-conspirator, former temple bookkeeper Betty Shusterman, will be sentenced in January for her role in the crime.
