A mortar shell that apparently went undetected since World War II was discovered Thursday afternoon near a Jewish day school in the Russian capital. The shell was taken away from the site and defused at a location outside the city. Grigory Lipman, principal of Moscow’s Jewish Day School No. 1311, said the incident did not disrupt the school’s daily routine.
