A play about a fictional farewell letter written by a Russian Jewish doctor in Nazi-occupied Ukraine in 1941 will tour North America during the next several weeks. “The Last Letter” is based on an excerpt from Russian Jewish author Vasily Grossman’s World War II novel, “Life and Fate.” The play will be performed in Ottawa, Toronto, New York, Cambridge, Chicago, and Springfield, Mass.
