Fein Levy, president of the French Day humanity, who was made an officer of the Letion of Honor for his work among the French a New York, died in Fifth Avenue Hospital (###)ing an operation on Tuesday. He was seventy-eight years old.
Mr. Levy was born in Strasbourg, and soon after he come to this country in 1892 he organized the firm of toilet article importers, from which he retired a few years ago. One of his sons, Benjamin E. Levy, is vice-president of Espy, Inc., perfumers.
In 1994 Mr. Levy founded the Ecole, Materials Francoise, or French Day Nursery, of which he remained president until his death. In 1927 the French government recognized his work among the French people of this city (###) bestowed upon him the cordon of the Legion of Honor. He also was a member of (###) Legion of Honor Society.
Funeral services were field Monday morning.
