Funeral services were held here yesterday for Abraham H. Sarasohn, pioneer Jewish newspaperman, who died here suddenly.
Mr. Sarasohn, who was born in Sakoleh, Russian-Poland, in 1869, came to the United States in 1885. In New York he entered the employ of his great-uncle, Kasriel H. Sarasohn, publisher and founder of the now defunct “Jewish Daily News.”
He came to Michigan in 1910, to join a branch of the family which has lived in Detroit for forty years. He is survived by his widow, a son, a brother and three sisters, all of Detroit.
