Representatives of several hundred Jewish organizations in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn will meet this evening at the East Midwood Jewish Center, 1625 Ocean avenue, to hear the viewpoints of the American Jewish Congress as presented by Professor Horace M. Kallen of the New School for Social Research and Dr. Joshua L. Goldberg, national secretary of the Congress.
The meeting, to be held under the auspices of the Brooklyn division of the American Jewish Congress, of which Supreme Court Justice Mitchell May is chairman, was called for the purpose of discussing the creation of a “united front on a democratic basis against anti-Semitism.”
Organizations in East Flatbush, West Flatbush, Midwood and Manhattan Beach have been invited to send representatives to the meeting.
A Manhattan chapter of the American Jewish Congress was formed at a meeting of 150 Jewish representatives held at the Hotel Commodore last Sunday. The meeting was addressed by Professor Kallen.
Harold S. Budner was elected chairman of the chapter and an executive committee of fifty named.
