Eliezer Kaplan, treasurer of the Palestine Executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, announced today in a press statement the allocation of the $1,500,000 emergency fund, for which an appeal has been proclaimed by the Actions Committee of the World Zionist Organization.
For political work, $100,000 will be allotted; $175,000 for building strategic roads and defense of Jewish settlements; $400,000 for dwellings; $25,000 for combating unemployment among Jewish workers and for loans to Jewish transport; $450,000 for urgently required loans to commerce, industry and agriculture, and $250,000 for social work.
