Amnesty International protested the treatment of Israeli soldiers and reservists jailed for refusing to serve in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The London-based human rights group said in a statement that it had written to Israel’s defense minister to protest that soldiers who commit human rights violations in the territories are not being brought to justice, while those who refuse to commit such violations are imprisoned, a French news agency reported Thursday.
