An Alsatian nationalist leader, Dr. Marcel Iffrig, was last week given a six-month suspended sentence for incitement to racial hatred and anti-Jewish libel. The 52-year-old Strasbourg doctor had written in the last issue of a local publication that the Holocaust had never taken place and that it is a Jewish invention. The case was heard at the request of the French League for the Rights of Man which also charged Iffrig with having played an important role in the “development of racist and anti-Semitic tendencies in France.”
