An Israeli Arab who grabbed a gun from a security guard was killed in a shootout in Jerusalem’s Old City.
The assailant, described by police as in his late teens or early 20s, grabbed a gun from a guard, and then shot and wounded him outside a yeshiva in the Old City on Friday. The Arab fled through the Christian Quarter and was chased by another guard, who shot him dead.
Approximately 10 bystanders were hurt in the incident, mostly from ricochets, police said.
It was not immediately clear if the assault had been planned by a Palestinian terrorist group.
