Thousands of anti-Jewish leaflets, calling on the population to attend a mass meeting against Jews, were distributed today in Lyons by an organization calling itself “French Anti-Semitic Movement.”
The leaflets urged the residents of Lyons to assemble with the chant “Sent Jews to Israel.” A counter-demonstration is being organized by the Jewish ex-servicemen’s organization in the city. The Movement Against Racialism and Anti-Semitism, which is supported by many non-Jewish notable in Lyons, posted protest placards all over town against the action of the anti-Jewish group.
