Ten prisoners were injured and hospitalized following a clash between Arab and Jewish prisoners in the Shatta Prison in the Jezreel Valley. Security forces from surrounding areas were alerted and sped to the prison. But there was no necessity however, for their intervention. The Arab prisoners agreed to return to their cells but the Jewish prisoners refused to return. They demanded that they be separated from the Arab prisoners. An investigation team entered the prison to find out the reason for the clash.
