A Holocaust survivor and the Polish woman who saved her will be reunited over Thanksgiving. The rescuer, Joanna Zalucka will arrive in New York from Poland on Friday to be reunited with Ruth Gruener after 61 years. Gruener lived with Zalucka’s family for three years during the Holocaust.
