Argentine Jewry rallied today to the aid of an estimated 120,000 persons left homeless by disastrous flood conditions. The Buenos Aires Jewish community organization sent contributions to relief funds set up by the National Welfare Ministry and three hard-hit suburban communities. The DAIA, Argentine Jewish representative organization, called on its membership to assist in every way possible during the emergency. Special prayers for the flood victims were recited in synagogues here on Yom Kippur.
