Arrest “unemployed” Jews As Merchants

The Yiddish Communist daily “Emes” of Moscow reports in a depatch from Odessa that the local Ogpu, Soviet political police, arrested a great number of Odessa Jews on the charge that they were merchants, although they had registered as unemployed.

Among those arrested there is a member of the Odessa Soviet, Magdow, who was charged with accepting bribes to register the merchants as unemployed workers.
