Total attendance in ORT schools throughout the world has risen from under 30,000 in 1959 to 65,000 in 1972, and the number of graduates from ORT schools and courses has risen to nearly 120,000 between 1958 and 1972, it was reported at the 50th annual concert of British ORT at Royal Festival Hall. The range of skills taught at ORT’s 735 schools in 28 countries has widened to include modern techniques and sophisticated crafts, it was reported. In Israel, ORT schools train 42,000 young people in 78 centers, where 81 different skills and trades are taught.
