The Swiss Government has been advised by British diplomatic representatives in Geneva that the Government of Australia has agreed to admit 150 Jewish refugee children from French during or after the war, it is reported in a cable received today by the Ort-Ose Committee from the Australian Jewish Welfare Society in Sidney.
It is planned to have these children admitted to Switzerland for the duration since they cannot, at present, be brought to Australia. Maintenance and shelter for the children, whenever they reach Australia, has been guaranteed by the Jewish Welfare Society.
