Australian Jewish groups are asking for government help in solving the problem of husbands and wives who refuse to give their spouses Jewish divorces. Australian Jewish groups requested that courts be given the power to postpone the granting of civil divorces until a religious divorce has been finalized or the parties agree to take their case to a Jewish religious court.
