A 41-year-old West Berlin businessman, Hermann Henke, was fined 300 Deutschmarks ($75) and was given a four-month suspended sentence for making an anti-Semitic comment. Henke was found guilty of remarking to a nurse employed by a Jewish family in West Berlin: “It is a pity there was not enough gas to kill all the Jews.”
