President Label A. Katz of B’nai B’rith today made known in a letter to Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt that the Jewish organization was contributing $2,000 to the “Tractors-For-Freedom” drive to save Cuban prisoners of the Castro regime.
Mr. Katz said Jewish scripture held that to save a life was the greatest reward a man could achieve and that the contribution was in keeping with this philosophy.
