Declaring the prosperity of Palestine has come to stay, Sir Robert Waley Cohen, chairman of the Palestine Economic Corporation in London, urged at its board meeting here today that the British government return to its traditional policy and enable Jews to stay in Palestine if they can find work there.
In his speech Sir Robert paid tribute to the Palestine Arabs, a majority of whom, he said, appreciate what Jewish enterprise has contributed to raise the standard of living in the land.
Lieutenant-General Sir Travers Clark, director of the corporation, stressed the need of coordinating Jewish and Arab efforts for the development of the country.
