Boris Thomashevsky, who pioneered the Yiddish theatre in this country and was long one of the East Side’s most colorful personalities, died yesterday afternoon at Beth Israel Hospital following a heart attack Saturday night. He was 73 years old. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Gramercy Park Memorial Chapel, 152 Second Avenue, where his body is lying in state. Surviving Thomashevsky are his wife, Bessie, from whom he had been separated twenty years, and two of his sons, Harry and Theodors Thomas.
