The American League for the Defense of Jewish Rights is calling a conference of the printing trade to put into effect the German boycott sponsored by the league and to apportion the work of printing a million placards. The placards are to be distributed and posted all through the United States urging observance of the boycott. This conference will be held within the next few days, it was said yesterday at the league’s headquarters.
At the same time the league announced that a Christian Division is in the process of formation. A prominent New York attorney will organize this division, it was said.
The league also announced receipt of a letter from Mrs. Mary Harris, president of the New York Ladies’ Auxiliary Consumptive Relief Society, comprising 2,000 members, applying for admission to the league and offering its fullest cooperation.
