The Polish authorities today sealed the office and all the documents of the Central Committee for the Boycott of German Goods in Poland.
The lists of all the members of the committee, as well as those of the provincial committees affiliated with the central body, were confiscated after a brief search of the headquarters here.
The action is considered as an indication that the Polish government wishes to stop the boycott propaganda which the Jews in Poland are conducting against German-made goods.
ENCOURAGED BY OLD REGIME
The boycott commitee was established immediately after the Nazis came into power in Germany. Its creation was definitely encouraged by the Polish government at that time.
With the attitude of the Polish authorities towards Nazi Germany now assuming a friendly turn, difficulties have been made by Polish officials against the normal functioning of the committee. In certain quarters it has been hinted that the Polish government would not like to see this committee exist any longer, since it is no longer interested in fostering the boycott against Germany.
Polish officials recently also confiscated issues of numerous Jewish newspapers for criticizing Hitler and members of the Nazi Cabinet.
