Two representatives of the Jewish Bank (Handels-und Industriebank A. G.) of Chernovitz, Roumania, have arrived in New York in order to establish a branch of their bank here, for the purpose of relieving the economic conditions of the Jews in Roumania, Bessrabia, Bukowina and Transylvania.
The representatives of the bank, Messrs. H. S. Steuer and I. Knauer will call a conference of American Jews who come from the above named countries and will explain their plan in detail. They have presented their plan to Jewish communities in European countries and Canada where, they report, it was accepted very favorably.
