The British government is most appreciative of the eagerness of the Jews of Palestine to serve in the British forces and is making every effort to take advantage of this, Richard K. Law, representative of the War Office, declared in the Commons today.
The statement of Mr. Law was made in reply to a question by Ben Riley, Laborite member. Mr. Riley wanted to know whether the British government is now prepared to utilize the offer coming from Palestine Jews for service in the British forces. In giving his reply, the representative of the War Office emphasized that “many Palestinians served with distinction in the British forces in Greece and Crete”.
